Prompt: Shikamaru or ShikaTem
He had always been a lover of anything that required thought, not necessarily the action that was sometimes required in order to accomplish his thoughts, but thoughts in and of themselves. Any board game where he could sit and ponder things for hours, slowly take in the progression of the person in front of him, and calculate any possible move they might make and the action he would have to take to counter that move was what he considered the best way to spend an afternoon.
It took him exactly ten minutes to discover that when it came to a certain blond ambassador from sand, no amount of strategy or foresight could provide him with any sort of answer that made sense.
He might have been the smarter and craftier of the two of them… but she was the one enigma he wasn’t sure he would ever fully understand.
